I doesn't sound like a virus, but more like spyware. Download and run both of the following.

Before you "run" these programs you should turn off "System Restore", because allot of these types of spyware can hide in restore points. Right click My Computer and click Properties. Now choose the System Restore tab. Put a check mark in "Turn off system restore". After you have run these programs, you will want to reverse this action and turn the "System Restore" back on.

Rocky, You've been sucker punched.

You have a virus of some sort. I highly recommend getting your anti-virus solution updated and run a thorough scan. If it comes back ok, get rid of you anti virus program.

Go to AVG (1st link) and get yourself a free 30 day trial of Internet Security Suite 7.5, download it in a folder, from add - remove programs uninstall your current anti virus program, reboot.

Once computer restarts install the AVG, follow the on screen prompts and then let it do it's thing, It will find your rouge spyware and move it into the virus vault for you.

I would recommend visiting the second link once your computer is clean and see what software of your's is outdated and needs to be removed or updated.

Then I would recommend switching to Opera or Firefox as your browser over Internet Explorer. It would be interesting to know what infected you, check your virus vault for details.

Spyware is your problem. Run scans on your system, in safe mode, using any number of free antispyware programs available and your problems will be over.
