My opinion doesn't matter. The size of the Werhmact was more than double that allowed by the Versailles Treaty. The development of tanks was underway, another violation of the treaty. The plans for national expansion were already outlined in Mein Kempf written in the 20's.

Absolutely ! Slowly he made progress, seizing first Austria, then a piece of Checkoslovakia. This allowed him access to the money ( very important for anything ) and the munition factory Skoda, the biggest in Europe.
Those motherless bastards, Daladier and Chamberlain, instead of stopping Hitler, they agreed to give him what he wanted during the conference in Munich. It looks like they believed that Hitler would stop there.
He didn't.
According to Goering, after Daladier and Chamberlain had left, Hitler said with disgust: "It is terrible. How useless they are"

sweetie: uncle adolf was preparing for war way back in 1922, was able to see his vision in some clarity in 1933 and by 1939 it became a reality. one thing you gotta say about the gent, persistence pays off, if not in some perverted way! funny thing, though, he could've succeeded if he hadn't gone after the wrong people, bit the hand that fed him, opened a second front in 1941 and stayed internal with his quests. but his id, ego and super ego collided somewhere over the shores of germany and by 1944, he was over and out!

In my opinion, he was forming his plans long before that. He believed that Germany could only overcome the injustices of the Treaty of Versailles by finishing the aims of WWI. Check out this website:
