The reason for me asking this ? is, we bought our house 2 yrs ago and here and there when we have company over, several people have told us that they have seen someone walking in our hall way out of the corner of their eyes and it happens to be the same spot every time. So its a little creepy for us since we have not seen or heard anything.

It really makes no difference, why would you want to know? My Mother died in peace in her own home, new owners couldn't have cared less. Find something else to be worried about, death is a very natural thing.

The age of the house makes you think at least one if not a few people have died there. My daughters son sleeps in a room that a man committed suicide in. She was told by the Realtors before they bought the house. There has been no strange or weirdness at all in the house or the room!

You go up to the county courthouse. You find out who lived in it. Then you look up information about the people and talk to their loved ones as to what happened to them and how they died. My house also was built in 1900. There was a person who died in it as a young boy. There has been no ghosts in my house so I guess they are at peace.

Sellers do not have to legally disclose this information. Different states have different regulations. I would go to the library and ask them the best way to go about studying up on the previous owners. They are a world of information.

Sellers currently legally have to disclose this information if they know it.

Otherwise, you could search city records for your house.
