yes many people might b disappointed for religious reasons. i will be disappointed too for a different reason. finding the centre will mean you have so little further to explore.

I am afraid that in terms of cosmology we may all be the center of our universes, so many may be disappointed to find that they are the center and might have to look to themselves to find the answers.
If everyone is a center then no one is more special than anyone else, which I assume is the point of your question.
===============
To understand how everone is at the center, imagine two ants on the surface of a balloon that is deflated to a pinpoint. As the balloon blows up the ants think the world is flat. (there is no gravity and they have sticky feet)
If there was no such thing as underground you would have a hard time finding a center of the surface of the planet.
Imagine now that instead of the ants 2D universe on the surface of a 3D sphere, that our 3D universe is the surface or a 3D skin of a 4D donut or sphere. each point of the surface might equally be called the center.
The real center is there was one might be outside the universe, somewhere out in hyperspace or Heaven. It might also be that the universe folds in on itself in such a way as there is no center.
--------------------------
The current theories have 10 or more dimensions in the universe so from our 3D viewpoint finding the center might be as difficult as an ant understanding calculus.

nicely, i have been the following basically about as lengthy (40 six years) and it not in any respect ceases to amaze me. yet I also see human beings at the different end of the dimensions. there are quite some unselfish, giving those that amaze me, also. i have self belief it relies upon on how some distance stronger someone is on their religious adventure. i'm an Gnostic Christian, and that i have self belief we are all the following to study for God. each and anytime we incarnate the following, we study and improve spiritually. some are better alongside than others. i'm no longer attempting to push my beliefs on you or anybody, everybody believes what they'll. those are basically my concepts on the problem. I have self belief that there are 'darkish souls' that turn from God. those kinds not in any respect understand the which technique of God's love. i comprehend all this is especially deep, yet it really is what i have self belief, and this is how I cope in this loopy adverse international.

I too will be disappointed thereupon, but then I would also like to know what, or where, is the centre of the universe. And this I deem to be true for all people, as they would like to know straight away as where they should go,
round what object of glory and grandeur they should flock to dance like eager moths dancing round the flame of a candle in excesses of love an devotion;
and in front of what eminence they should bow to perform the rituals of obedience, where to pledge their loyalties;
where to place their faith and trust;
what thing, being, or a place embodies such all the essence of all beings into one unified grandeur;
I would like to go there too, to see for myself the place of origin of all purposes right, the place of issue of all decrees and laws of nature;
the centre of the universe,
the cause of all illumination of mind;
the radiant heart with all the light of heavens and earth springing forth.
I will envisage all this with eagerness. I would be delight. I would be inspire beyond all inspirations; the awe-inspiring spectacle of sheer greatness, I will be mesmerised.
I will then be assured that it was not me who was responsible for all the ills in my world, all the wrongs in my life, for all the trouble that they say I caused. I will then know for sure that there indeed was someone, or something, aloof, standalone and detached from myself that I have been just an instrument of, just an instrument. And if so then I will know that this life has not been my folly or my fault at all, as from now on I have someone to blame, something to hold responsible for, some to point to quite outside me, someone else.
I will feel fulfilled and engrossed, but what could I say I will also feel alone, isolated, peripheral, subsidiary and secondary in all the thoughts I called mind, in all the purposes that I endeared, in all ambitions that I have though are my life, and in all dreams that I so naively have been considering mine, only mine.
I will feel very alone then indeed,
without me being at the centre of my own little world.

The universe is not infinite, Harmony, except in infinite time. It has measurable features, has been mapped, and in fact is not round, expanding in different areas at different rates.
Those who "suddenly" discover they are not the "center" of the universe do not believe they are the center in the way that your heading question implies.

If your centre is somewhere, then your circumference is everywhere.
But if your centre is everywhere, then there is no bounderies.
Look at light, the centre of light, stars, are everywhere not in one place at the centre of the universe, but all over making it a boundless universe.

I'm afraid the people you are talking about are almost always incapable of discovering this obvious fact - they never have that moment of epiphany and stumble through life in blissful arrogant ignorance. I almost pity them - but only almost.

well, this all depends on "how big your universe is..." to a baby?" (the joys of parenthood!) but to a self centered ego maniac? (what ever is in the mirror!) to the many who have "vision?" (It still is becoming larger by the day!) "Peace!"

There is no center of the universe. Certainly you don't refer to self-centered people.
