Tampons shouldn't hurt. If you mean they hurt when you try to take them out, then the absorbancy is to high. (Use a Light instead of a Regular or the next level down of whatever you are using.) If you mean it's uncomfortable and you can feel it, then it's not positioned correctly. You shouldn't feel a tampon when you wear one.

It hurt when i first started using tampons. I think a big part of it besides never using them was the fact that it was kind of dry up there. You will get used to them fast. And then you won't even be able to feel it. Trust me. It's normal for a little discomfort with never using tampons before. =)

They don't hurt. The ONLY reason a tampon will hurt is if it hasn't been inserted correctly. And if that happpens you just remove it and put in another one.

(Some virgins say that they feel a little "pressure" when they first start using tampons--but it really isn't that bad. I started using tampons when I was a virgin and never had any pain from them)

your probably still a virgin which means that your hymen has not been broken yet. So therefore if you insert a big tampon like the superplus which is for heavy periods then its going to hurt. Try using the slender ones like tampax pearl which is really good or playtex. Its really not supposed to hurt if u insert it correctly. But when i was a virgin it hurt to put it in so i stuck to pads and then when i lost my virginity i was more open so it was easier. That could be it

Who said tampons hurt? If you're young, you might want to try using the slender ones. But they don't really cause much pain and discomfort. I find them far more comfortable than pads.

Tampons do not hurt, you might have not placed them correctly. You might have not placed it inside up to the point where it has to be. Go to the following site where you can know more

Tampons do not hurt at all if inserted correctly.

They sit at top of the vagina, just below the cervix..If they are in properly you cannot feel anything.
