yeah... mcafee sucks. can't download norton.. :(

so it's saying that i have an attention thingy and when i clicked fix, it said that it requires my response.

I have listed a few anti virus and a few anti spyware programs that are available for download and are completely free: I will not get involved with the rights and wrongs of each package or its effectiveness or indeed “This is best” or “This is crap” statements. Whatever you do, just make sure you have one of each type installed, updated and fully working:

Norton sucks too. You do not need to pay for internet security. You can download and use any of the following. These are programs that allot of us have been using for quite a few years. They work as well or better then the "big two", and when set up correctly, do not slow your system at all.

So my suggestion to you would be to uninstall McAfee, and use either AVG or Avast for your internet security. By the way, to completely remove McAfee you will need to edit the registry and eliminate the McAfee folder. Working with the registry can be a very dangerous thing, so you might want to get a little help.

I have also included links to anti spyware software and a good firewall.

you must b having a problem with the protection status >>>
Try out all the settings and there is a setting of a thing which allows you to check and uncheck all those things , for which you want to be notified
