Michele Malkin reports that at least 4 plants tied to Democrat campaign asked questions while posing as Republicans:

- Military guy was an official of the Hillary campaign.
- Abortion questioner about prosecuting women getting abortions was a declared John Edwards supporter
- Questioner about log-cabin support implied he was a log cabin supporter but was a declared Obama supporter
- Undecided Mom with kids worrying about lead in toys is a staffer for the United Steel Workers and is a prominent activist.

These questioners were supposed to screened. Is this Democratic hypocrisy or something more sinister? Democrats refuse to go on FOX because they don't think they'd be fair, and this is what Republicans get from CNN!

Samantha...Its that these people hid their affiliations that is the point. CNN was supposed to provide a balance of questions and tell the potential biases of the questioner to the panel. Its one thing to have a Lib ask a question on prosecuting a woman getting an abortion, for instance, and quite another someone posing to be a Republican.

Froggie...Nice try at not answering the question. We certainly know that the Democrats have been lily-white until now...LOL!

I think its good for the Republican candidates to go on CNN and take some abuse from Democrat supporter plants.

They need to be tested under fire and show some courage and poise when they get hit with these questions during the primary campaign.

I think this will make the winner of the Republican nomination a much more formidable foe in the general election debates.

The Democrat candidates are a bunch of cowards for avoiding the same treatment on Fox News and deserve to lose another presidential election for their cowardice.

Actually, this is not true. The Military guy was a supporter of Hillary Clinton, but not part of her campaign.

Why are Republicans whinning that they weren't lobbed easy softball questions? The questions were all reasonable. Just because the Republicans came off looking stupid is not the fault of the questioners.

The Republican Party for years is known for its dirty tricks going back to days of Nixon. The 2004 election and Karl Rove use of wedge issues like gay marriage in the state of Ohio. The attacks on Kerry by the swift boat people. Republicans love to wrap themselves in the flag and Bible.
