If you are in the politics area, something prolitical. What do you think of the debates last night? Is Bush serious about Middle East peace by 2008? Just thoughts.

I just read that Rep Hyde has died. You could ask for opinions or reactions. But here's mine:
The man who lead the Clinton impeachment fight for the GOP in the House. The man who pursued Clinton had had an extramarital affair himself. A decorated WWII veteran. A staunch supporter of the pro life camp as well as the family leave amendment. A strong supporter of AIDS/HIV research and treatment. An advocate of semi - automatic weapon bans and background checks.
In short a man on whose stands I disagreed with at times and times I supported him. A man, an American, a patriot.
We are a better country for the Henry Hydes in this world. As the old song says, "Heaven knows he could have done better but Goodness knows he could have done worse." RIP Congressman.
