Well, to an extreme you can kill yourself and all your family members. One of the biggest problems in the world today is overpopulation, especially in developed nations. You can take your genes out of the gene pool and all of a sudden all those resources you consumed are now available for those straving individuals who now don't have to encroach on wild life in order to have a 3rd world living.
