How come when reading about your symptoms online or in a book, it makes you seem like you have every problem in the world wrong with you or something "serious" is happening! For instance.. I am having extreme nausea, lower back pain, and tummy ache feelings. I looked them all online and they make it seem like im going to die! Granted im 9 days away from 40 weeks prego, im sure its normal to feel new sensations and feel like crap..right? So when do you know to call the doctor??

In my experience, I lost my mucus plug, and started having contractions that day, 6 hours later. I had contractions all that night, woke up, showered and drove myself to the hospital. The nurses were telling me that if I could do all that, it was not time. They were so right! When it really was time, I remember my husband driving me to the hospital, and I could hardly speak, the contractions were close and painful. There is no way I could have driven myself. That's how I knew. My labor was very slow though, very similar to yours in fact. You've been having ALL the signs for a while now. I read your questions whenever I see your pictures because we have the same due date, and my heart goes out to you! You seem to be hanging in there well! Best Wishes!!

If this is your first baby, things might go slow. If it's the second or further, then things might go faster. If you live far from the hospital, allot enough time to get there without having to hurry too much. Signs you should watch out for are bleeding, watery discharge (sudden gush of water or having continuously wet underwear even after changing since your bag of water might have already broken or is leaking) or crampy pains (back or lower abdomen) getting more frequent with longer duration and shorter intervals.

The lower back problems are completely normal this close to delivery. The tummy ache could be caused by all the pressure on your stomach. I had them too.

The nausea could be morning sickness. It can go all the way through pregnancy. Since you see your doctor every week now, mention them to him and see what he says.

Nausea, lower back pain, normal. Tummy ache feelings could be false labor. You should call your doctor right away if you feel uneasy in any way. Congrats. P. S. lower back pain could be false labor too.

Any time you are not feeling right or well, you can call your doctor for some reassurance. There is no right or wrong time to call---it's their job to be there to help you!

Sounds to me like you're really close to delivering. Lots of luck to you and yours!
