Catz I cry for you. Have been there twice. Both times I came home from the vet knowing that no one has the right to take a life. It jarred me unbelievably to see the spirit gone from those beautiful little guys. OK that's just me.
If you decide to euthanize your baby (SR Mary Holiday is also right) see if you can get the vet to make a house call.
Whatever your decision it will be the right one for your kitty.
Please know that.
Awwww the only time I really, really cry is over these little helpless guys that love and give so much.
Email me anytime. I am always here for you.
Picture her spirit running free across a meadow. That helped me. (((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))

You telling us this has bought tears to my eyes! If your baby is in pain maybe you should have her euthenized. You spending the time with you that you do is so special and it seems that you are a caring loving person so she's had a good life.
I just don't like seeing anyone in pain.

Sweetheart, I have been in the same situation as you over the years many times. I am sending a big warm hug your way!
This, as told to me by a vet years ago always helped at this very difficult time.
"Euthanasia in your final gift to a devoted pet who is suffering after they have given you so many years of love and devotion."
I hope that helps you. I know it's hard, one of the hardest things to go through and like losing a family member.
If you need to talk, feel free to email me sweetheart. I have been in animal rescue for many years, have adopted pets (seniors that no one else wanted), and have lost beloved furkids, so I empathize with you.
Hugs!

I have been there, and it is the hardest thing to do. If she is suffering then I would put her down. I have a dog that has seizures so I know what you have been through. I know my day will come too, and I am dreading it. I know it will make you sad but you have to remember how much you both loved each other, and she will always be in your heart.

Here is a big hug for ya ((((((((((YOU))))))))))
I have four cats and four dogs. Losing a pet IS very TRAMTIC as pets are PART OF YOUR FAMILY. at least THEY ARE in my FAMILY. I also lost my Rotti on Oct 5TH of this year. It is very hard, but I also BELIEVE that if your cat has no life it is suffering. (I THINK IT IS) Then it is right to put her/him down. The cat won't suffer anymore and will be at ease chasing as many mice as it want to chase at her/his final home.I understand you wanting her/him with you and the comfort you are giving your cat. I think your cat will APPRECIATE it more if you let her/him go.I am sorry for this time in your life, But things will work out. Good Luck..

Hug
We just had our 12 year old beagle mix die this morning. He begged last night to get on the bed (Which isn't allowed) and I let him up because he was so set on it. About an hour later he get off the bed and this morning we found him dead outside the bathroom door. It is very very sad I know. If your cat isn't in pain, just let nature take it's course. If the kitty is in pain etc. have her euthanized, even if it is very hard to do - in the end you will be helping her die with no pain and dignity.

Okay. Now I am crying. I feel bad for you and your little one. But really, do you want her to suffer till the end? That is the great thing about being able to euthanize an animal. You can end their suffering. She won't think any less of you for it! If you can't then just hold her and let her know you love her. I think you are already doing that. God bless. Hope it goes quickly for you both.

Here is a great big hug for the both of you. My feelings on this is, even though it is hard on you, your baby needs to be at home. This is what she knows. She may be uncomfortable, but she is at home. When people are going to pass on, most of them want to be at home, wouldn't kitty too? Yes, of course. I just lost my special little fur ball, this is very hard. Just remember the good times you both gave each other.

So sorry you are going through this. I wish I could tell you that you are doing the right thing in not euthanizing the poor kitty but I think if she is not in pain that is ok. If the vet thinks she is suffering agonizing pain, then it would be selfish of you to force her to continue on. She may be hanging on because she senses you have not told her it was ok for her to go on to kitty heaven.
