Can you go in to labor before you have lost your plug? thanks!

I have not lost it.. and my water has not broken.. i am just wondering :)

Yes, my water broke before losing the mucus plug AND before going into labor.

Yes, and not all women will even notice losing the mucus plug.. but if your water does break you need to get to the hospital right away. If you don't and you wait until you feel contractions your baby could suffer.

yes and yes. i never noticed anything like a mucus plug at all and i went into labor b4 my water broke. i kept waiting for that sign to show me that i was close and i never had it at all. with either of my kids!

yes and if you think your water broke go straight to your doctors office your child life could be at risk
