I think vibration is a widescope of mechanical engineering in field of many subjects, say, ranging from earth quack warning detection process to the tire vibration of a car, the building safety standards of tensile stress, pulling, material standards, pivot and moment technology, elastic ability of many materials in construction, and much more. Acoustic is ranging from sound of music, hearing aide, or research of hearing problem of person is going to be a deaf etc.
I think the vibration condition monitoring is more fun and probably earns more in the long run of your career unpon the completion of your engineering degree.THink about it before you make up your decision.

I'm not an insider in either field, but my career is music. I think acoustics engineering pays a substantial amount more. There's a very broad range of stuff you can get into doing that. the vcm job is kind of limited in the stuff you'll get into. Both overlap in some parts.
