i am working on a project for school and this is a very important answer, please no stupid comments and if you dont know please just dont answer. i need a good grade for this.

o.k i shall explain more.....(all of this is made up) a computer with gps nav. system, built in hardware to keep track of websites visited, and it is for children around the ages of 12 and 16......i guess i just need a number range of the lowest most can be to the highest.....and im not real smart with the names of things but i think the number ends with a GB...... gigabyte or something like that......and again, its just a project that i am working because we have been studying microsoft excel and word and powerpoint for the last few months of school and we are doing an end of the lessons project.......i want to thank everyone for their input, it has been a little more helpful......i appreciate it......

This question doesn't make much sense, I'm not sure what you mean by "space". If you are talking about the actual space that a lap top requires, that would be somewhere around 170 to 200 cubic inches.

If, on the other hand, you want to know how much "data" a lap top can hold, that would depend on the size of the hard drive, weather the computer has external storage, and weather it is connected to any type of network storage. Therefore a lap top could have anywhere from around 20 gigs on the low side to an unlimited number of gigs if external and or network storage is involved.

If it was for school project you'd actually know what kind of SPACE you needed to know about.

Assuming you mean HARD DRIVE storage space, the answer is DEPENDS . . .
On the BIOS, and what it can read.
On the OS and how large a drive it can read
On the manufacturers of laptop hard drives and what they've made available to the public.

So really the question as it stands in UNANSWERABLE !

depends on hard drive. also, you could have usb ports w/ external hardrives, so it has the potential to hold ALOT!!

the hard drive, usb flash drives, and external hard drives. i have had over 1.5TB hooked up to my computer
