In all fairness, it's been scheduled since before the season began. How was the NFL to know that the Pats might be looking at going undefeated, it's happened once in the history of the NFL. I could understand you thinking the NFL network was evil if the game had been scheduled to be played on a Sunday on CBS and it got switched there midseason, but this is just the way it worked out. Can't blame the NFL network.

No they are not "evil" for one, no one predicted this season to be this great for the Patriots nor the dallas/packers game.2nd, they showed games on the NFL channel last year and no one was complaining about it. If it was the lions/dolphins playing, I would highly expect people would be caring less about it. Do I think it's fair that people are getting shut out from watching their teams play due to it being on a certain network, no. But you get to watch 512 other games. Missing one game won't hurt you. if you want to see the game, think about up grading perhaps....
And NFL channel has made a proposal to cable companies to start showing the channel. It's the cable companies that are refusing because they will lose fan base. The NFL channel only shows 10 games a season which is only shown after midway. And the NFL channel doesn't have very good shows besides on Sundays. In the long run, you and the cable companies would be wasting $. especially in the off season.

I think the blame is on both the NFL and the cable companies. Of course the NFL could put the Thurs. games on most any channel, network, etc. And the cable companies could add the channel to basic or digital cable. But greed on both sides causes the problem.
This issue may lead to a cable a la carte. Where you pick the channels you want and pay for only those. Which would be nice because I really don't need 10 spanish channels, 8 religious channels, 7 home shopping channels and 5 local access channels.

No 1 knew that the season was going to be like this
these games were contracted out when the schedules came out
those games will also be aired on their local stations as well as the NFL network
so the Fans of those teams will be able to watch them play it's the rest of the country that will suffer
and what im reading on here not alot of Patriots Fans anyway
so they will probly not watch

I seldom agree with iceman, but I do on this one. The cable companies should offer the NFL Network, look at some of the channels we get, CourtTV who the frig wants to watch Judge Judy 24 hours a day, Lifetime isn't tv for women its tv for women born before 1920 who are probably already dead, home shopping, home shopping I mean seriously why cant the consumer chose to drop some of these channels and get a channel like the NFL network if he wants. I pay almost 100 dollars a month for hd cable and internet service. I dont think the Cable company would be hurt to throw in NFL network for me.

Ofcourse its about money , it should always be about money. If it were not about money they would have been out of business 30 years ago. The NFL was formed by smart people with money figuring out ways to make more money. Why do people think that has ever changed? Stop crying like babies and switch to satellite. If you had something you valued at $10 and I offered you $3 for it , you would laugh and tell me to get lost. So why should the NFL take less from COMCAST, Time Warner , etc when DirecTV and others are willing to pay the going rate. I say kudos to the NFL for this, dont sell your product for less then people are willing to pay for it.

I live in Jersey where all the games are played for the Gaints. I wonder if we will get the game here. I'm thinking yes, since Fox Local has the rights to G-men games.

All the talk about how important the fans are is just BS. The fans are the last consideration. I hope the NFL screws themselves on this. Make no mistake, it's all about the $$$$$$$$. Jerry Jones and his ilk could care less about their teams fans.
