It would be a act of God if this country is still around in 100 years.

But I highly doubt North America as we know it will be around in a 100 years. If at all. The land will probably still be here, but what it is today, I highly doubt it will be around.

The fact is that in the next 10 to 20 years the emerging world power which will eclipse the States is China. Like all world powers (Britain, Roman, Greek), the USA has a sell-by date.
China has more people ( a sixth of the world's population), more untapped resources (largest single country in the world), is a nuclear power and has the world's largest army by a long way.
Following China is India. In the next two decades, the US is predicted to fall behind as a world power to China, then India as their economic growth becomes exponential. The next 100 years will surprise us all and I am afraid the US will not feature in it as much as it does now.
