Its not a game, altho it has games inside it. Its a virtual world. The #1 Youniverse online today. Anyone can create anything. There are parks, there are medieval areas, futuristic zones, mansions, jungles, oceans, shops. Whatever anyone wants. And people create a 3-dimensional image of themself to walk around and interact with each other.
One interesting feature is that it has its own currency which can be converted in and out of real dollars. People who are good at creating things sell them to other people in the game. Decorations, clothing, hair styles, pets, houses. And some make really good money (remember that it can be converted back out into real dollars).

It's super wicked and you learn new stuff every day sometimes you get a bit bored but a new thing comes your way and you become immersed in a project
I enjoy going to raves at all hours cause you never hear the same music twice. plus it is a different crowd all the time and many things to do. I have bought all the raver stufff in the game so that is interesting now I have to be more creative with my money (lindens) and I think it gets like that for the more experienced players as well there is so much to see and do and you can search thousands of things. I found good male hair is hard to find though and their is mega stuff for chicks but not alot of creativity for dudes. I find I am always challenged in the world of SL and I find that new things always come up and present themselves as an opportunity for creative self expression and an artistic intellectualism and individual creative will. I really enjoy it in that virtual world and am lucky that I have found some good people in it too.

It's about having a second life in a virtual environment for those saddos that can't hack the first life they have been given in reality.

It's kinna like a virtual chat room but the people walk about and can perform actions rather than just talk.
