I LOVE Christmas. My mum and dad always put their decorations up on the first and I have wonderful, exciting childhood memories of this time. Is it really wrong to want this for my daughters?
Christmas is once a year and we should cherish this family time as you never know how quickly it could be taken away from you. I love seeing my daughter's faces light up when they see the decorations.

Is this really so wrong? :-S

I always put up my decorations the first weekend after Thanksgiving or the first Saturday in December. There were quite a few of my neighbors who had their outside lights up before Thanksgiving (the 22nd of Nov this year!)

I know some people hate that all the store displays and decorations go up so early, but I love it. The season goes by so fast, I don't mind extending it a bit!

Ignore the people who grumble about it. You know it's not about buying stuff sooner or the commercial aspect of the holidays- it's about sharing your treasured memories and traditions with your family. And that really is what it's all about.

Enjoy your decorations for as long as it makes you happy.

Happy Holidays to you!

(I think I'll be starting to decorate tomorrow when I get home from work. ;) )

There is nothing wrong with it at all. I think it is wonderful that you want to carry on family traditions with your own kids now. Don't worry about what others will think, enjoy this time of the year with your children the way that you want and that will make you all happy.

Many people put up the decorations the day after Thanksgiving or even earlier so no worries...

(((hugs)))

There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. I have heard a lot of family traditions are to put up decorations the on thanksgiving day after dinner or even the next day. So compared to them your a little late;)

Put them up... A lot of Americans put them up around Thanksgiving... So what could possibly be wrong with putting them up now? Don't even try to go to the mall around Halloween, when the wreaths have been hung.

I dont think there is anything wrong with it. Its your house do what you want. We are going to be putting up ours this weekend too. I've seen people have there trees up before Thanksgiving. I personally wouldnt do that but like I said its there house if that is what they like then they should do it and so should you.

Put up the decor! =) Enjoy it now, and then take it down shortly after christmas. I think its wrong to leave them up all throught January!
