HI EVRYONE I HAVE A LAPTOP AND SOMETIME AGO I CHANGED AND ADDED NEW VALUES ON MY REGISTRY KEYS NOW MY LAPTOP HAS A STARTUP PROBLEM SOMETIMES IT STARTS UP AND SOMETIMES IT DOESENT AND SOMETIMES IT JUST SHUTS DOWN ON ITS OWN IS THERE ANY WAY OF SORTING THIS OUT I WOULD BE MOST GRATEFUL IF SOMEONE COULD HELP ME THANKS AGAIN>>>DEAN.....................

well, I am guessing you have no backup, so the only thing you can do is to try a registry repair utility, but sounds like you are getting ready to re-install windows.

Well if you could recall the reg settings and undo them that would be the route to go once you are actually able to get into Windows, you may try safe mode (hit F8 on start up to get there).

If your not able to recal the settings you have modified then get into safe mode and go to Sart-run- and type MSCONFIG and hit enter. This will show you what registry keys are used for the start up and may give you some insight as to what to correct the problem.
