Colin Stagg's case isn't a good example of anything, especially police practice. The trial collapsed and rightly so, They just didn't have a case against him, and now the reasons are obvious to all.

Definitely.It worries me that a pefectly innocent person can end up in this situation despite being nowhere near the scene of the crime.How do you get evidence to prove it if there obviously wasn't any?Makes you wonder if when there's a huge hue and cry are the police under pressure to produce someone,anyone to satisfy the public.Hopefully as they get more technologically advanced we'll see less of this.

Obviously Colin has upset someone in the "Funny Handshake Society" who have decided that he will have done something, somewhere, in his past so that he could be fitted up for 1992 murder of Rachel Nickell,

Yes, it's also an excellent example of the effects of 'Trial by media' and the way gossip and supposition can harm/ruin an innocent persons life.
