I have an 87 dodge ram and on the driver door the strip fell off somewhere. This is just sections of black metal panelling that runs the length of both sides of the truck. I don't know the name for this at all and want to look for it. So question 2, other than ebay, any idea where to look?

body side moulding and you will probably have to go to the dealer and order it if they still can.

It's probably not dirty in that sense. It may have deteriorated due to uv rays/ oxidation. Armorall or 303 will bring it back temporarily. Back to Black also works but it is sloppy to use and tricky.
