This is a question that sincere voters across the US are asking, but few can find good answers. Hillary Clinton has been an elusive candidate at best. She has run a campaign that lacks specificity and clarity in her message. She has not put herself in a position where she has had to answer a direct question. Also, her greatest asset as a candidate is her last name. If she was not a Clinton she would not have a fighting chance. But that's politics. Bill has become her official unofficial spokesman. The majority of her political efforts have been spent in slandering other candidates, President Bush, and claiming victimhood because of her gender.
To answer your question, I would say 80% of her followers want her as President because of one of two reasons: (1) her last name (they loved President Clinton) and (2) her gender. Wouldn't it be cool to have a female president? The other 20% hold her liberal ideals and believe that America needs a serious change of direction. And that direction is to be more European (you know, get back to our roots).

Seems your question is a little early. Assuming the Dem party selects her you will have a choice between her and ?. Then you have to make a choice. I can only assume the responding people above have really given a lot of thought to their position, it's reflected in their statements I suppose, or at least to the best of their ability.
If I vote for her it will be because my party has selected yet another idiot, I don't care for her or some of her positions but I will not support another idiot (and i didn't vote for george either time, although I did hold my nose when I voted for the Dem selection..

If you do,I shall consider that Americans have begun to trust their women with the most important task in the world ie Presidency of their country.I think, all things being equal,a woman president shall do a much better job specially in the areas of welfare and international relations with a human touch.America has antagonized more than half the world against their country for no rhyme or reason. It's the right time for a healing touch and being a a highly successful functional democracy in the world,America should continue to lead.

An excuse with sanity's bounds evades me - but learn to spell, learn to capitalize, and perhaps you'll be in better condition to take on the responsibility of voting for any political candidate.

You shouldn't vote for anyone who is likely to grant amnesty to illegal immigrants. This means Hilary and unfortunately all other democrats currently running. After Iraq and health care, illegal immigration is our biggest problem in terms of both monetary and social cost. Amnesty is our worst solution. Amnesty '86 did nothing but create the mess we have today - it solved nothing and it won't in the future.

I'm actually going to give you good reasons why you should from someone who actually knows something. Hillary wants to improve education, get healthcare for everyone (which can be good and bad), and try to find the best solution for Iraq.

If you are an enemy of the USA and what it stands for, and are against personal freedom, it would be a great idea to vote for Shillary.
