I'd say $25. $5 a day. I don't think it really matters if it's flake, frozen or live. it's the diference of crumbing between fingers, defrosting in a glass of water, or netting it from a tank. Any way you look at it feeding a fish does not take that long.
FYI though, for $25 you could get an automatic feed that will dispense the appropriate amount (that you set) every day for up to 7 days. So if it's flakes, consider that in the future.
Either way, Kudos for hiring the kid next door and NOT getting tablets! Those auto feed tablets that are supposed to last a week leave to many nitrates and nitrates and just leave too much waste!

$30 or so. The way I see it is that the kid did you a favor and you should pay him good. You are not just paying him for his time but telling him how much you appreciate his willingness to help you out. Now if you feel he was neglectful then that would be different and you would not need to reward him as much.
This amount is assuming that he only had to feed the fish a simple food such as flakes.

None! They will survive for a week on their own. Simply turn the light off. I promise, unless some weird thing happens (like ick, or parasite) you won't lose a single fish.
And DO NOT get an automatic feeder! It will dump too much food in a spike your ammonia. This in turn causes a spike in Nitrates a week later that will wipe out your tank!

Wow! what kind of question is that? Do you only have one tank, or the communities secondary pet shop? Do your fish eat regular fish food (flakes), or special foods (newly hatched brine shrimp)? Do you want the kid to feed correct amounts, or pour in the whole container? How do you know he/she will do it every day?
Too many variables to give a proper answer. But I would say at least $10.

How about 1 dollar per day? It would take only a minute.
Why wouldn't you have used an automatic feeder or disolving food tablet for that week? That's what i do and have never had any problem with my fish over a vacation.

If he lives next door and only has to do it once a day then $5/day is a fair price. This is what my neighbor paid my daughter for feeding his.
