No way! You first need to think of you and your baby's health. And smoking cigarettes is definitely NOT healthy. Take care of yourself and your little one.

I hear yah girlie! I was a pack a day before I got pregnant and lately I am going CRAZY....I just want one so bad! I would say steer clear of the one per week because if you do that, you will always have them readily available, and if you are like I was, you would smoke and not even realize it! It sucks, but you can do it!'

Only you know what you can handle though, you are not a bad person if you do. I know I could only quit when everyone else stopped pressuring me about it, and I still have to fight the urges but you will be okay!

If its known that any smoke is bad for babies, especially smoke laced with carcinogens, heavy metals and deadly toxic chemicals, why would you WANT to smoke once a week?

I cannot imagine having will power that is weaker than the necessity of providing the best for my child. I honestly cant. I would die for my child, and I certainly would suffer withdraw if it meant providing him with the best environment to grow in.

It just doesnt make sense to me, on any level.

Maybe chew gum, or join a group for help, or see if your doctor can help you some how. It wont go on like this forever. Its normal to be moody with pregnancy, it doesnt mean you have to give in and risk being addicted to nicotine in higher levels.

Cigarettes are not what they used to be. Smoking during pregnancy for your mother was different than smoking now. There are many MANY more horrible things in these cigarettes than every before. They kill more people in the last 15 years than in all of history because of these additives.

what's the point? As a smoker, I know just as well as you do that 1 cig a week is worth nothing. If you can't handle not smoking, just wait til that baby is born!

My mother smoked everyday with my little sister in her belly and my sister is now a genius. I could say, yeah, why not, but not everyone is the same. I have a friend who smoked with her son and now he is deaf. It depends on you. Is smoking worth risking the life or well being of your child? If it is light up, if not, you'll kick the cravings, give it time.

you can do what ever you want to, but you risk your child's health and development. You have gone 2 months keep going and I bet when it is over you will not want to go back, besides think of how you are now saving your lungs and all the money you have to devote to your baby.

57 years ago when my grandmother was pregnant her doctor told her to smoke to get rid of morning sickness.

My mother is fine today, but my grand mother is in the hospital with double pneumonia, and COPD with chronic bronchitis. She will have to wear O2 for the rest of her life.

Bottom line... your choice. You're gonna do what you want anyway...

You have gone 2 months, keep it going. You will be proud of yourself when this is all said and done. Maybe ask your doctor if you can try something else to help ease your addiction.

you can do what you like if you want to put your unborn baby at risk. Have you tried sugar free chewing gum, works for me and i used to have a 20 a day habit before i found out.

yes of course you could but if you are not smoking now, it makes no sense to add in a cigarette, find something else to control your mood...maybe walking, it works for me.

you just do not one cigarette to turn into two and so on.

Good Luck
