Is that the best wrestling movie ever made ?

I thought Ready 2 Rumble was lame. Funny at times but lame.

And i dont mean Documentaries. I mean actual fictional movies depicting the wrestling culture.

What other movies do you remember that were based on pro-wrestling ?

It's not the best ever made. Debatably, "Tag Teamed" with Roddy Piper was a better movie, or at least I thought so.

Ready 2 Rumble was pretty lame, other than a few choice quotables like, "If you lose your left nut, is it still your right nut?" and "Hey, DDP. A Diamond Cutter Upside Down is a Pu$$y!" It also gave us one of the coolest gimmick matches ever, too bad WCW never booked a decent Triple Cage in real life other than DDP v. Jarrett, which sucked due to participation by Arquette.

I remember Tag Teamed, there was another one, too, but I can't recall the name. No Holds Barred was great, but didn't really do much for Zeus's career. I know it doesn't count, but "They Live" is a great movie, Piper at his best.

Ya, Zeus was one of the worst wrestlers I have ever seen. My favourite wrestling moment in film is when the original three Freebirds briefly appear in action against Greg Gagne, Sam Fatu, and Jim Brunzell at the start of the movie The Highlander.

I heard there was a movie in the works about an over the hill wrestler who comes back for one shot at glory. Nicholas Cage just pulled out of it I think. Another wrestling film coming out next summer is a biopick based on Andre the Giants life called Andre: Heart of the Giant. The original lead died partway through the filming so they had to get a new guy and film most of it all over again.

I actually own the movie "No holds Barred". There is a movie that Rowdy Roddy Piper made in the mid 1980's with Tonga Kid that has to do with wrestling but to save my life I can't remember the name.

Who can forget the image of Hogan jumping out through the roof of his limo.... RIP 'EM!!!!

Does anyone remember them promoting it on WWF tv when it came out. They were getting people's reactions as they left the theather and it was the dirtiest theater I've ever seen. Then they found Macho Man coming out of the theater. Macho was praising the real star Zeus, but the funniest thing was that Macho Man went to watch the movie in his wrestling gear.

I loved that movie when I was a kid and I agree it is the best wrestling movie.

Also, you have to love Suburban Commando, just got that on netflix the other day.

What was that one with David Arquette with all the WCW wrestlers? I liked that movie. It was really funny. Too bad I can't think of the name of it.
