Hopefully he won't destroy himself by the time he gets out off college. Him taking all that punishment will add up. I don't think he will be a QB, but maybe a strong TE like Gates and Shockey because he can run.

q_ball... you are truly an idiot... an otherwise "not so good Florida team"? Are you high? One of the reasons Tebow is so successful is because he has an arsenal of talent to throw to and a variety of speedy backs to give the ball to. Florida doesn't have a featured back, but its offense is probably the best in the nation. Tebow helps that a lot, but remember, it takes a team to get down the field, even if Tebow helps out every couple of third downs and inside the 2. Our defense however... well there's always next year.

Now that I have that out of the way, Tebow "can be" a legitimate pro prospect. He just needs to be developed into one. Right now, he is only a sophomore, and more like an NFL style fullback. I asked a question a while ago about whether or not people thought he should play as a fullback in the NFL or try to make it as a QB. What I got for answers was a gang bang of Tebow-homer-bashing (which I half expected from Y!A users).

Right now, he is perfect at what he does in college football. If he wants to be taken seriously as a quarterback, and his passing stats are amazing this year by the way, he will still need to develop more as he comes into his upperclassman status at Florida. He would be crazy to leave for the draft early after next year. He needs all the time he can to perfect his game. There is no point in rushing something he can perfect in two years. That being said, he will most likely sit a year or two out and see scant playing time as a professional quarterback when and if he gets there, but this is typical of most professional quarterbacks who were successful in college.

EDIT: iceman... you homer. Too many weak teams? I think you are confusing the SEC with the ACC. Learn college football and then come back here. Try to keep up.

He'll definitely go pro, but won't start at QB. His NFL career will be short-lived and he'll end up going to at least two or three teams trying to earn a spot after his first year. He is almost a carbon copy of Bucky Richardson, who played QB for A & M '88-'92 and went to the Oilers behind Warren Moon. He got cut a few years later when Steve McNair was drafted then tried out for the Patriots, then the Cowboys as a back. Look up some of his film from A & M. He was wild!

YES. Definite QB as opposed to some saying he may be a RB. Reasons- Longetivity for one thing.
Moreover, its more about money and endorsements.(people who in advertising are satans spawn by the way) The RB position is much less glamorous. They get the crap beat out of them and historically have a much shorter tenure in the league. That equals much less pay. Its a great position for ghetto thugs like Edgerrin James who do not have Mastercard or SNL knocking on their door to make a commercial or an appearance. Compare that to Tebow. Look at the guy...He's couldnt be more marketable. Colin Cowherd makes a good point when he says if its someone your mom will/can get to like seeing on TV commercials, there marketable. This is because the Satanic ad execs know that typical females are impulsive and will get duped into buying their product due to seeing a Teabow or Tom Brady on a tv spot. My mother comes back from the store with so much crap she doesnt need with no logical reason why she bought it. I usually let her know,"you fell for it".She isnt quick enough to comprehend.

Well at this point he is a bright spot on an otherwise not so good Florida team he kinda reminds me of Colby McCoy QB for the Texas Longhorns Both good young quarterbacks . They need to become better leaders in thier teams to get more consideration as a top teir prospect for the nfl

When was the last time the QB from Fucklida have the good NFL career...Wreck Grossman is a train-wreck So I don't think Tim Tebow will have great NFL career, Just look at Alex Smith another QB who played under Myers.. and he sucks now in NFL..

He is a pro prospect. He still needs to develop his QB skills, right now he is a runner and not a QB at this point, which was the same as Troy Smith and Vince Young as SO's.

He still needs to improve his delivery of the football, but he is accurate and is fast and big. He'll play in the NFL, whether its as a QB we will have to wait and see.

He will be as good Rex Grossman..

UFla prospects play to many terrible teams in college so they seem alot better then they are.

Matt Ryan is going to be the most successful pro from this years class.

tebow does not need to become a better leader... he is a great leader for our team! im not sure how you came to that assumption, and our florida team this year wasnt that bad. granted we didnt win another national championship and lost most of our starters... i dont think a 9-3 season is that bad for a rebuilding year... heck thats an excellent record in the case for most other teams.

timmy has 2 more years left, and he is going to become a great quarterback. look at how his passing has improved just over a few months... give him 24 more and you will have an awesome pro quarterback with running abilities.

go gators!

Yeah, but that offense isn't helping his status as a pro QB prospect. He's getting the crap beat out of him physically, and from the standpoint of mental preparation,he's not making the kind of reads he's going to be asked to make in the NFL. I can't stand him, and I'm sick of hearing about how he's such a great kid because of his scary robot missionary parents, but he's too talented and too tough not to make it.
