Two day`s ago, I took a test and although the window that shows it working, did not show, the other window showed very clearly, then today, I had to take it out of the bin, and it showed the opposite ie no result, but a line showing clearing on the other window.
I do know that I have to have another test from the doctor, but I am curious to know the above.
Plus I am petrified to take another test; that one caused me to panic!!

I don't think you can go by the results out of the trash can! Go get a test from the doctor to be sure but it sounds like your pregnant. But if so don't panic everything happends for a reason. My daughter saved my life!!

if the window that show its working had no line in then its a void test and the line in the results window is meaningless if the other box is empty. The tests usually only last about 10 minutes anyway.

It usually says on the box how long the result is good for. I've known directions to say the result is invalid after ten minutes, but I actually saved my daughter's pregnancy test when it read positive and it still reads positive after 10 years.
The EPT tests however, not longer say Pregnant after a while.

go to the doctor and get a urine test done and i would also take another pregnancy test. this isn't something to mess around with. if you don't take another test, and are pregnant, you could hurt the baby if you drink, smoke, if you are sick, etc...trust me i've been in the same position as you, just take another test, and go see your doctor. you have to be responsible for your actions (if your having sex, you know what can happen) don't ignore the fact that there is a possibility of you being pregnant....i know it's not easy to cope with but you just have to do it, for your sake

you should only read the result within the time frame in the box - usually less than 20 minutes. Take another test - i recommend the digital versions.

The results are only good for 10 minutes, you're not supposed to read them after that.

Don't freak dear....the test don't last long at all depending on which ones you get. So don't panic just take another...

Well i have my daughters still and they are still OK and she's 19 months and I'm 13 weeks pregnant and there OK still.I did one early and it faded i think it was just cause it was early could it be that

you'll have to test again. It sounds like you didnt pee on it right. you have to tilt the stick downward as you pee on it.
