problem with my laptop,while working the screen becomes blue and show some message like windowmust shut down?

and the hardware or software installed may be problematic.so please help me what is the problem should i change harddisk or should i change ram? what to do?

What OS?
Did you recently install any new programs?
Did you drop your laptop?

How long do you work before it shuts down? Could be a heat related issue. Which OS are you running?
