Ask Thompson supporters what substance his campaign has. It has none.
His only hope is to reign in those valuable voters who perhaps have seen him on TV. Worthless. He also will pick up those few votes for people who are anti-abortion and anti-mormon psychos.
Look, I oppose abortion and I'm not a mormon, but face reality. The president has little power to affect abortion. The only hope is a constitutional amendment that COULD START IN CONGRESS RIGHT BY GOD NOW. Why haven't the started it yet? What is the status on that amendment? Stop making excuses.

I like MIKE!
I thought Fred sounded like he was interviewing for the VEEP position during the debate on CNN.
McCain is well respected and credible, but I don't think he can win.
Would love to see Hunter as a VEEP!

Wow...I agree 100%.....that is shocking.
I thought Huckabee CLEANED up last night! Did you? I also love that he is for the Fair Tax. Fair tax is the way to go!
McCain is too jaded. Thompson comes off as gun totin' good ol boy.
I must add...I do like Ron Paul's non-interventionist policies...i am just concerned that he isn't electable.....could be wrong.
I am a libertarian.

Mike Huckabee: record of tax hikes (an estimated half a billion dollars), amnesty for illegal immigrants (including supporting a measure giving them drivers licenses), he plan's on continuing the war and Iraq, and stated he would go to war with Iran without the consent of Congress.. and sinking the economy into more debt, he was also under investigation for ethics violations in his home state
Rudy Giuliani: for amnesty for illegal immigrants, for higher taxes, for continuing the war in Iraq, possibly entering another one in Iran.. Has had several scandals, including his three marriages (once to his cousin), is being protested in New York by over 200 families of dead firefighters that died on 9/11 due to Giuliani's negligence, he will sink this country into more debt and wants us to invest social security into Wall Street
Mitt Romney: where does he stand on the issues today, tomorrow, next week?
And these are supposed to be viable candidates?

I agree with your "top 3" assessment of who the most relevant GOP candidates are. I'm a Dem, but I follow both races closely. I can't help but notice how divided the Reps are this time around on their choices. One of those three guys will probably get the nomination. The big question in this race is will the Republicans unite behind their choice, or stay home? That will probably determine the outcome of the Presidential race in 2008.

it will be a cold day in hell when the GOP elects a candidate who has a past like Giuliani (although, I'd say he would do excellent in the national race) or a Mormon. McCain's too old and has ruffled too many feathers, but i like Huckabee...dang did you see that last debate.

McCain is probably the most level headed of them but has no chnace in hades of winning. Thompson is a bit too conservative. The former N.Y. mayor is probably the only real GOP candidate that has a chance against the Hillary.

BZZZZ wrong
It'll be Paul vs. Huckabee
Noboby wants librul Guiliani, and nobody wants Mormon Romney.
Cross your fingers for Dr. Paul and we just might save our Republic from this string of disasters.
