Its not the dem's policies at work here. Hey bush tried to give them amnesty, but that got shot down. The dems tried to give them id cards, but that got shot down. Its all about getting their votes and which party can obtain that first may win the next election easily.
I'd give them fake id cards, have them come out and vote and deport them when they arrived at the voting booth :D
1 in 3 criminals in jail are illegals. I'd start by deporting them first, but you can't start deporting people until the porous holes in the border are filled with AR15 assault rifles with a shoot to kill policy.
