I'm new to the whole sex thing (in my late 20's), very healthy, very in shape. Anyway, my new g/f and I began to have sex for the first time a few days ago, it was my first time, but not hers.

Anyway, for some reason, when i was inside her, I lost my erection! I have no idea why, I just figured that since I'm new to having sex my only problem would have been that I would come too early, but that didn't happen, in fact, obviously I wasn't able to come at all! I wore a condom, so my g/f suggested i just try it without a condom for a bit (but not come) since she was also on the pill as a back up. I was able to hold my erection no problem then. The problem is, we're both uneasy with the idea of just relying on the pill for b/c. I trust her completely to take it properly, but a pregnancy would REALLY mess up our plans as we both have another year and a half of school left. Anyone have suggestion or has anyone experienced this problem before? If so, how did u handle it? thanx

"but a pregnancy would REALLY mess up our plans.." you're afraid to have her pregnant that is why you lost your erection.
try other methods you find comfortable for you.

Firstly if you're actually in your late 20's then you'll be thirty before leaving school, has the leaving age increased that much since I left??

Secondly you're very wise to be taking precautions and very responsible in using two methods to make sure the risk of pregnanacy is zero or as close as it can get. However wearing a condom can reduce the feeling during sex and can result in an 'anti climax' rather than a climax. There are condoms that are thinner and contain spermicide which you may find helpful. Check them out in the link below for example

You could ask your girlfriend about her going on the injection its more reliable and isn't really affected by sickness or anything, my friends been on it for a year now and has never had a pregnancy scare, but do keep in mind not everything is 100% effective even condoms.

Have sex without a condom and right before you come pull out and come on her stomach. Make sure she is ok with this though before you do it. I have an allergic reaction to condoms, everytime we used one I would break out the next day and itch like crazy. So we always used this method. I wouldn't stress out so much about it, that will ruin the sex. Try to relax and enjoy it. Good luck!

Use a water soluble lubricant and lube your dick and put some inside the condom before you put the condom on and make putting the condom on a part of the foreplay. The lube will ensure that you feel the wetness that would be there if you were in her bare back.
