Gladiator because it actually had a good storyline and good acting.
300 relayed too much on the action and special effects.

Gladiator was really beautifully made, I love Ridley Scott. The performances of the actors were very emotional and the battle scenes were really intense, plus it was a great love story. I loved 300 as well, It was extremely entertaining (especially all the half naked super buff men) but I think Gladiator's my fav.

i really liked 300 because of the great fight sequences.. the slow-mo and camera angles were beautiful.. not to mention the formations of the soldiers working together.. however it lacked in storyline.. and the ending wasn't what i was expecting which is kind of good because i hate movies that are predictable..
Gladiator had great fight scenes also but they weren't as good as 300's BUT... Gladiator had a great storyline and it was sad.. but once again.. the ending was kind of dull.
all in all.. i enjoyed 300 more because of the fight sequences.. but i enjoyed Gladiator equally because of the thorough storyline

Gladiator all the way. Much better movie and there was a story behind it. 300 is NOT what I expected and was more fictional then real.

Gladiator. 300 was good, but I tired of looking at it for that long. Gladiator was better. :)

I pick Gladiator because you can watch it over and over, there's enough substance there that you don't get tired of it. 300 has great fighting scenes and good eye candy but you get tired of it after a while.

Gladiator I love Russel Crowe, but the best of all is Troy.... despite ne one of these three movies are really historic if u read the history who wrote Homero (Homer in English i though).

Generally speaking, I go for the on that is most historically accurate but in this case, I have to break my own rule and go with 300. It wasn't historically accurate at all in terms of the main story but, if you really watched the movie and you know history, they touched on a few things that are hardly ever even mentioned in terms of general history and systems of belief at the time.

Gladiator. Russel Crowe's acting alone made this picture standout.
