money and power. That and our society is too busy being pacified and medicated by media, tv, electronics, the internet, instead of asking why we condone corruption you should realize no one condones corruption but we have come to terms with accepting it. There aren't any riots in the street, bush and the administration are still in office. We all know what they did still they control everything. We have a choice between a republican or a democrat each party no one wants, when will an american run for office. Democracy finally fell silent in the oligarchy of america. We the people. Fell silent, fall short, forgot our ability to fight corruption. Get up and start yelling, things aren't right anymore. once you do that and we all do that corruption will end.

Most of the reasons are related to not really being clear that there's anything corrupt in the corruption.

A lot of people look at the bribes politicians get and think that this is "normal" and if they feel anything at all, it is jealousy rather than outrage.

A lot of people hear of an incident of insider trading and don't really understand who the victim in such a case might be, and figure that any so-called victim was playing the same game and just didn't play as well as the inside trader.

A lot of people react to government contractors overcharging or underperforming by thinking that it's just the system.

Basically, such corruption is condoned because we are too lazy to think.

None of us feel we can do anything about it. The powerful have our hands tied.
