i am not talking about intensity : like more fundamentalist or less. but absolute numbers ? and religios people in total ppulation percentage?

You have to be careful with absolute numbers and how you define 'religious.' The BBC did a worldwide large-scale survey some years ago and what they found in America was that a lot of people claim to be religious and they go to church, but they do not necessarily practice what they believe or preach (that's very different from other predominantely Christian countries and also the reason why Americans are perceived by others as being hypocritical).
So what I'm saying is that with regard to America, absolute numbers will not tell you anything useful.

seeing how most people worship themselves now days, people are becoming more religious.

I think religion is getting it's make over..........finally............and its a good thing too...........the balance of mental, spiritual, physical, & emotional........we have no choice but to grow up.....as we re-define what religion is..........we find our true Creator. MORE....!
