OMG...I love Nandos. Its only new (2 yearsish) in Adelaide, Australia and the first time I saw it...I thought where are the freaking tacos? You cant have chilli/mexican without tacos. I ignored it for many months but curiosity got the better of me. I am a spice nut.

It does cost too much. I love the quarter chicken best because you get the most chicken for your money. Quit calling pieces of chicken tenderloins and steakefied stuff because it DOESNt gel within our inadequate brains.

Adore the espaditos...skewers of chicken/capsicum etc. The steak.....is totally gross and not intended for humans..its stringy/rubbery/scary. The rice is an old rice-a-rico spanish style...and not cooked long enough. The salad is ok...depending on the cook at the time...has no continuity or memorable vinagrette. The corn cob is to melt for...is ace, its heaven. The chips are rootable to say the least.

I dont really get the menu thing. Why dont they give individual prices? You feel like you are getting ripped off each time you go, no matter what the choices? The custard tarts are interesting...some kid making custad tarts who doesnt know how to make them...so you feel.....arghhh...sweet, lets pat the child on the head. Its a professionally cooked tart? No its an afterthought popped in the deep fryer accidentally.

I love the sauces.....but when you take it home....it doesnt produce the same taste...much more vinegar than the real thing..apparently you need to burn things to get rid of the processed garlic bite. I have however come up with a to-die-for tuna dip incorporating the peri-peri.

The mayo with peri-peri is good..MacDonalds mayo with the peri-peri sauce is nice. Id prefer real advocado instead of the Pauls dip...but its ok for an average guacomole.

I adore Nandos...even though I think its a rip off. I think they could do better, wooden seats hurt butts, abrupt sales people and menus that dont include tacos dont help. Make the clients feel loved and wanted? Maybe the sales people could be nicer if it didnt seem that they were so.....irritated by people asking where the tacos are?

I went into Nandos this week with my partner. I had Chicken Pitta and Corn plus a fanta. He had 1/4 chicken chips and garlic bread plus diet coke. We both had mild spices. However I thought it was rather expensive. £14.95. I think its gonna have a lot of competition with KFC. I mean you can have a bucket for less and more food.

I love Nando's too - not the spicy ones though- with chips and cole slaw. BTW, you would not find tacos on their menu because they are a portuguese restaurant.

I have only been once - I don't think I'll be returning. The place had no atmosphere and the food was pretty ordinary. And where do they get the chicken from? I shudder to think!
There are lots of nicer places to eat.
