you can improve it by trying to NOT breathe in 100m, Ben Johnson doesnt breathe in 100m at all, but if you do, do it reallly slow in and out, this is one. second is run 60m x 6-10 times each time you do work out on your legs of speed 90%.

an average guy without formal or proper training can run the 100m in 13 seconds so let say he/she has formal coaching and training a second or two can be easily shave off his/her time.

Just keep training hard, weights, running, diet etc.
The only limit if you put in the dedication is your own genetic limit.

well, it is subjective to the type of training you are doing and your physical body and age.

You are best to be able cut down by max 1 to 2 seconds after you have lighten yourself and done all the proper training.

For that little amount of time...You have to write extremely concrete images, almost no 'ands', 'ors'. 'thens'...those sort of words...just the bare images, descriptive words. Example: "Morning crested white, windy, forlorn...winding moodily past pre-dawn..." see what I mean? Oh yes, you can do it! Elysabeth Faslund...Poemhunter.com
