He's done this in the past and is scared and it is killing me I just dont know how to make him see sense. Up until this happened everything was great its been over 2 years and now he's freaked out and I dont know what to do

He did this in the past to previous girls when he was married and having affairs....he left his wife so is in a different place now but still making the same mistakes. He knows its in his head but I dont know how to get him to realise he could sort it out with me and I am patient and love him enough to be there...

i think the only thing that will help will be counceling maybe there is a reason he cant commit

He has a serious problem that needs professional help. With him being this bad and having affairs in the past, there is a serious problem going on in there somewhere. He is wrong in his way of thinking. Love cannot make a person like him commit to anyone. I am not saying that he is a bad person, that is not it at all, but he has a problem. However, with him saying that he is not in love with you tells you that he does not feel the love that he should for you. If it wasnt for your additional details, I would say that he is wanting to end it for other reasons. He is using the scared deal as an excuse though. It isn't that he is scared, it is that he has a problem. You should go into counseling with him. This will bring the two of you closer and help him with his problem as well. It could save your entire relationship. Give it a try.....it could definitely be well worth it.

"I love you but not IN love with you"-Translation-- "Sex with you was alright, but I've found someone I like better and I'm already sleeping with her."
The "not in love with you" part should tip you off to the fact that he doesn't love you.
By staying--or trying to stay with him you are making yourself look like a fool. If he has had this problem be for you then he will have this same problem long after you come to your seances and leave him for a real man.

You can't change him no matter how much you love him. He has to love you enough to want to do it for you.
Sorry, I know that is not what you wanted to hear, but I have to be perfectly honest with you. I have been there, and felt the same way you feel. It does not work.
Try to find someone that will be more sincere and faithful to you, and one that will be able to make that commitment to you.

just take all his crap, support him and stand your ground, sometimes people need a little bit of pressure to understand certain things
