Okay, so I ate some sushi on Sat. and ever since then I haven't seem to have an appetite, diarrhea, and weakness. There's been no vomiting, but my stomach gets really weak when I attempt to eat. What's going on?

You might have the stomach flu or a mild case of food poisoning. Both botulism (butox shots are made from) and salmonella food poisoning are dangerous.
But botulism is more serious and even fatal. I know of a mother and daughter who died from botulinum food poisoning. They ate cabbage which they canned themselves. They both slipped into coma before dying.

Sushi is cooked fish rolled up in rice with egg or celery,carrot.etc. Probably, the fish in the sushi you ate might be already spoiled. Shashimi is the raw fish.

Next time, if you like sashimi, go to reputable places where you 've been before and didn't feel sick.afterwards. The fish should be fresh and not served at room temperature.

Usually, the sashimi that I prepare at home is usually soaked in soysauce and vinegar to kill any bacteria. The fish for the best sashimi is ahi or tuna. Although I don't eat sashimi nor rare steaks.

In the past I suffered from salmonella food poisoning with vomiting and diarrhea.and fever. I had to be hospitalized to prevent dehydration. The culprit was cooked fish that wasn't reheated. before eating.

Make sure, you drink a lot of fluids to avoid dehydration as you're having diarrhea. You should notify the doctor immediately if you have diarrhea for more than 2-3 days.

Food poisoning is the result of eating organisms or toxins in contaminated food. Most cases of food poisoning are from common bacteria like Staphylococcus or E. coli. Food poisoning often occurs from eating undercooked meats, dairy products, or food containing mayonaise (like coleslaw or potato salad) that have sat out too long

Food poisoning can be caused by:

Staph aureus ;E. coli enteritis ;Salmonella
Shigella ;Campylobacter ;Cholera ;Botulism
Mushroom poisoning ;Listeria ;Bacillus cereus ;Fish poisoning ;Yersinia

You will usually recover from the most common types of food poisoning within a couple of days. The goal is to make you feel better and avoid dehydration. Drink any fluid (except milk or caffeinated beverages) to replace fluids lost by diarrhea and vomiting. Don't eat solid foods until the diarrhea has passed, and avoid dairy, which can worsen diarrhea.

If you have diarrhea and are unable to drink fluids (for example, due to nausea or vomiting), you may need medical attention and intravenous fluids.

For the most common causes of food poisoning, your doctor would NOT prescribe antibiotics. Antibiotics can actually prolong diarrhea and keep the organism in your body longer.

If you have eaten toxins from mushrooms or shellfish, you will need to be seen right away. The emergency room doctor will take steps to empty out your stomach and remove the toxin.
