Genty16 I'm 21 actually not exactly a hag, and I fail to see a connection between being young and being so unintelligent that you insist on purposefully misspelling words.

I hate it too and sometimes it takes ages to decipher what on earth they're trying to say especially if they're not very good at it. Why don't people just text the words? After all it only takes a couple of seconds more. Perhaps they do it because they can't spell or maybe they are just lazy!

th whole point is to save time and space,
n d gd old days, txt ws $ n tiny.

of course now one could wax lackadaisically about the oncoming inclement meteorological changes with the carefree attitude of one indifferent to the use of space let alone the potential cost of such a interaction...

Ooh dear it's bad isn't it? At least you can grasp what they're saying but still it's a hack and slash job with the English language at best.

We will end up a country of illiterates who don't actually know how to spell properly! Hate it, the English language is a wonderful tool.

Almost looks like it's written in another language.

Its like another language & yes, i can't stand it either.
Its sounds as if the other person can't bother to take the time or energy to message you properly!

It irritates me ALOT and I dont bother to read stuff written like anymore - I just pretend I couldnt understand it. If people havent got the decency to spend time writing properly to me then I dont have the decency to bother reading or replying xxxx

It annoys me too; i'm the only one out of my group of mates who use punctuation in texts.

Oh oh! I hate that too!!

I don't understand why they can't type the words right.. It's just as easy as typing lyk dis. Lol!

They're probably lazy and dumb. OR they think it looks cool and is the "in" thing..
