I grew up in a Catholic family and was told what to and what not to believe. But now, i've grown up and learnt alot about science and I can't help but question it. Also, everybody argues about religion when whole concept of religion is just based on faith. They pretty much believe in all the same principals.
Just thought i'd ask and i'll apriciate all opinions, so long as you don't break me down about asking.

You need to seek God through His Son Jesus the Christ. Scripture tells us that if you will seek Him you will find Him. There are many great Non-Denomination churches around. Try some. Just make sure you find a Bible believing church that teaches the Word of God.

I was born and raised a Catholic. When I was 11, a traumatic event in my life lead me to the light -- God doesn't exist.

I, honestly, have been happier now as an Atheist then I -ever- was as a Catholic. I will raise my children when I have them in a free home. If they want to believe, more power to them. If not, welcome to the dark side, kids.

There's no reason why you can't renounce your faith and live a GOOD, HAPPY, MORAL life. Just because I don't believe in a giant flying spaghetti monster doesn't mean I'm not a good hearted person who tries to do the best she can.

Keep thinking, sweetie. Make your own decisions. Don't let the confines of a particular faith tell you what to think and feel. Think for yourself. Become an independant!

I was raised with a very devout Christian upbringing and am now atheist. I believe very strongly that it was when I was a Christian that I was most confused, the transition to atheism was a gradual awakening. Atheism made me a far better human being, made me far less fearful, far more determined to better myself and gave me a level of love and tolerance for my fellow being that Christianity never even came close to giving me. Christianity likes to proclaim itself as a religion of love, but it's really not until you step back and look at it from the outside that you suddenly realize just how unloving, self-righteous, hypocritical, intolerant, bigoted and spiteful it is to everyone else, just like every other religion in the world.

Sounds to me like you have a logical, rational brain and it's finally starting to break free of the brainwashing. I'd suggest reading Richard Dawkins "The God Delusion". If God does exist then he gave that brain to you for a reason. Why would he do that and then not expect you to use it?

I tend to think that you can come to a conclusion of connecting religion and science together(read the Tao of Physics), many religions talk about the oneness of all things, many in science are exploring the ultimate connectedness of everything at the sub-atomic level(quantum physics)...if you do find a religion, find
one that you can trust and know you can follow...here's a quote from the Bhagavad Gita:Sri Krishna "To whatever god you direct your prayer, by whatever name you call the Supreme, your prayer immediately comes to Me." Hindus find that they choose a deity that they connect with and when you connect with something that is divine it's really like your also connecting with a part of yourself...Worship Pachamama of the Incans(Quechua) if that's what your path is...there are many paths to the top of the mountain(another Hindu quote, I think you can guess what it means)
Namaste and good luck on your path whatever it is(I just hope you don't join a cult though...:P even then you'll know that it's the wrong path) once again good luck

Don't get confused with religious beliefs on the one side and philosophy.on the other
Scientific analysis of religious beliefs will result in total
confusion. Logic has nothing to do with religion.
You have got to study a lot to get to know the underlying TRUTH in any religion. Religion is only a guidance to
attain this Truth. You will realize it as time passes on.

I used to. Now days I just consider religion has no much afferent with government law, to manage the people.

Every step has a logic reason, just think it easy. But I trust god for highest all solutions to get right answers.

No because I don't believe in religion,It is evil.I believe and trust in Jesus.Jesus was crucified by the religious hierarchy.

I had and have a real experience with Jesus. Not talk about what you are going to do.Just do it.

Alone with Jesus I said Jesus I am a sinner.I believe You died on the cross for me.Please forgive my sins.Come into my heart Jesus.and all of the sudden I felt peace and love come into my heart. And I knew that I would spend eternity loving Jesus.I want to hug Jesus forever.

Not me. I know that the best way to live life is to make Jesus Christ the center of it. And I recommend if you are confused about your religion, this is not the best site because many here will try to convince you to become an atheist.

So I suggest, make your own decision and do not base it on others.
