Yes, read John 17:3.
"And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.
Also, read John 3:16-18.
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
"For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
"He who believes in Him is not condemned, but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Oh, BTW, you cannot keep all ten of the commandments, and Paul says in Galatians 3:10,
For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them."
And James says in James 2:8-10,
If you really fulfill the royal law according to Scripture, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself," you do well.
but if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors.
For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.

The basic idea of doing "just the minimum" is already flawed. The ten commandments laid some foundations, but like it is with every law from God, it's the spirit and not the letter that counts.
An example. Sex before marriage is bad, because you should save yourself in order to give your entire being to the person you intend to spend the rest of eternity with. The letter says that sex before marriage is bad. Does that mean that 18 year olds that drive to Vegas, elope, and have it annulled the next day or a week later just so they can sleep together and be able to say that they've never had sex out of wedlock? Were they obeying God's law?
And really, the ten can be summed up in two. The first four state you should "love the Lord they God with all thy heart, mind, might, and strength." The last six state that you should "love thy neighbor as thyself."
But, just living a good life isn't enough. It is required that certain ordinances be performed. Baptism is the first ordinance. But obviously just any old baptism won't do. There is one God, one law, and therefore one baptism that is appropriate. Immersion, at an age of accountability, by someone who holds the priesthood to administer those rights.
Baptism is only the first ordinance. You then need to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. There are other ordinances that need to be partaken of, and each of these are covenants, or two way promises between you and God. The ordinances are performed so that you can show your Heavenly Father your dedication, and so that He can bless your life.
I could go on, but I think I've answered your question sufficiently enough. If you do have any follow-up questions, feel free to send me a message.

To go to heaven, you have to believe that Christ is the Son of God and to accept Him as your Personal Lord and Savior. Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life! and salvation and the way to heaven is found in making a decision for Christ.
The 10 commandments is the standard that God set for the people to follow but religious following of these laws without the "Son" will not get you to heaven. Go read in the Bible what Jesus has to say about the Pharisees and the Sadducees, those religious people who lived according to the laws - He called them hypocrites!
The way to heaven is only through the Son, Jeusu Christ! John 3 v 16.

No it is more important to pray to God and decide to live for Him. Believing that Jesus died on the cross to save us and really feeling sorry for the things we have done wrong are crucial.
We all fall short of following the 10 commandments. We will still go to heaven if we ask for Gods forgiveness.
Hope 2 see you there one day!!

The purpose of the Ten Commandments was to establish a set of rules for moral conduct but keeping them has nothing to do with going to heaven. If you read Jesus' comments on them, in Matthew 5, He showed that they had a Spiritual standard. The religious leaders were saying "We never killed anyone.." but He was showing them that 'Do not kill' had more to do with an Inner Desire to harm or injure someone. A person can be religious and NEVER kill, commit adultery or steal yet end up in Hell because their Inner Life is FILLED with hate, lust, envy, greed. Then again, a person in prison --- who NEVER kept ANY commandment may end up in Heaven because of the Inner Change that occured in his / her life.
People don't get to heaven by being Good; they get there by being in touch with God.

No. Just remember the first commandment and what that commandment really means.
Just to show how important the first command is, remember that in condensing the ten commandments, it all falls on loving your God with all your heart and with all your mind.
My answer may be a little misleading. I'm saying that honestly trying to follow the ten commandments will inevitably lead to Jesus and that will lead to your God.

Trust and believe in Christ as Lord and Savior. Ask him into your heart and into your life. You can follow all 10 commandments but unless you have the blood of Christ covering your sins you will not got to heaven.

The Ten commandments are set laws there not what gets you into Heaven. Receiving Jesus into your heart is your ticket to heaven.

Really, what God asks of you is to believe in Him, be faithful to Him, confess your sins, and believe in the Son Jesus Christ and that He died for our sins. The 10 commandments are what God has wanted His people to live by since the beginning, but they are not what must be done to get into Heaven. Honoring God is in the commandments... but loving God and having your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior is all that is asked. Allow Jesus into your heart and you will be allowed into His Kingdom!
