They say only God is perfect, and I was thinking that nothing we do will ever change the fact that we are not worthy of an after-life. For those who have imperfections will not step into God's kingdom. Am I wrong? I really don't know. Isn't imperfection a sin?
Believing in God doesn't make us perfect, for Satan believes in God.
Hell, for all I know heaven and hell is the same place. "I swear if I get to heaven and we're all seated, suddenly a big glowing light appears and starts blabbering on and on, I swear I'm going to walk forward and spit on God's face so that I may be banished to what I would call " a good place". Where the sin a.k.a. fun, never stops.

In the bible, the word heaven is used 606 times, 138 times in the Gospels. Moreover the word perfect is used 48 times.

Heaven is where God is and hell is where God isn't not. So if we are in heaven, we will be like the angels. Obviously we are not alone, but we may be lonely.

Jesus talks about the kingdom of heaven and about our father in heaven. You can search the gospel for the word "heaven" and read the related verses. You will find that nothing that Jesus taught matches your description.

Answer: Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect. The key word is "be" perfect, not that we are imperfect.

The Christian idea is that God alone is our goal. Heaven and the afterlife is not the goal; heaven is just a place to be with our Creator.

To believe in God simply means "to hold that God exists". We believe in order to get somewhere or achieve something. I believe in God because I want to find my Creator. Believe does not mean "proved" or "completely convinced".

To worship God simply means to open ourselves to let Him show us who He is. It is the process of seeking Him.

I don't think we're being told that we must be perfect. I think what we're being told is that we're created beings and we need our Creator. If we think we have the right to go to heaven on our own merits, then that is the same as thinking ourselves to be God.

I don't know what we will do in heaven but I rely on two things. One is that God knows us (obviously since He created us) and has promised that we will be happy there. Two is that God's character is infinite and it would take an infinity of experience to know Him.

Thus enters Christ. We go to heaven because of him. not because of what we did, but because of a work of another. We are imperfect, but he came to make us perfect. And as far as your scenario is concerned? God knows everything. So if thats what you had in mind, you wouldnt be in heaven anyways.

That's where Jesus comes in; He has cleansed us.

Your idea of Heaven seems to be another earth. If you don't want to accept Heaven, that's OK. You don't have to - you have free will afterall.
