If I met anything as weird as a god, I'd have to be pretty sure he wasn't an hallucination or worse I'd gone completely mad. Then I'd ask a whole load of questions, because the world is so mad...
If I had proof but didn't meet him, then it depended on the proof, if it's just proof of existence, then no change, as I lead a moral life according to how I think, even if I don't believe any of the rubbish coming from religions. If I learnt he was evil, then no change because what could you do? If he was a fundamentalist god, then oh ****! I'm not sure I could fake an interest in the weird stuff, religious people get up to...
So all in all - no change, I am what I am.....

I will no longer be an atheist. I would have to say this though, from my understanding of the God of the Bible I would really be unhappy to find out his existence was true. I would hope very much that Humans had gotten him all wrong and that he was not at all like he is portrayed in their holy Book.

If I die and I have to stand before god and explain how I lived my life, I would.
The christian god is a loving, forgiving god. Is he not? (Well, account for the two million people he murdered in the bible.)
He gave us free will, did he not? I was simply using my (ding) free will to be an atheist. He cannot logically punish one of his "children" for using a gift that he indeed gave to us (If you believe such nonsense).
Maybe you should try being god for a day. Buy a young child a toy, and scold him whenever he plays with it. That's what burning in hell would be like. What's the point of giving the person a gift if they're not allowed to use it?

Depends on which god it is. Most gods aren't worth worshiping, because they're too cruel and vindictive for me. Most gods are also rather silly.
Gaia seems like a nice god.
But, of course I'd no longer be an atheist. Because that basically how we atheists think: if something is proven, it's true.

Nothing?
Jut because God might exist doesn't make it your God. or any God we know of for that matter. What will you do if you find out that God exists but it was not for example the Christian God if that is the one you believe in? What if you find that out and realise you just wasted your life following stupid rules for religion, worshipping a false God?

If sufficient evidence were produced to prove its existence or if I were to experience it with my own senses, I'd have little choice but to change my opinion.
But if it turned out to be the murdering, sadistic monster of the Christian bible, I'd have nothing to do with it.

If you are talking about the god of the bible, then I would turn my back on him and walk away.
I could never worship such an evil and malevolent tyrant

Oh, Youth of noble birthright, what did you expect from the pagan hordes?
They know not the Lord of Lights in whom you trust.
They can not be expected to answer with rational minds.
The are all mules which can not hear.
But take heart little one.
The Spirit of Truth will guide the chosen ones to the path of righteousness when their time has arrived.
OK, It's 2:30 in the am over here in Portland OR.
Guess I should lay these tired bones down.
