Yes, whether you are talking about yourself or your coworkers.

You probably know that Augmentin is an antibiotic prescribed to treat infections such as sinusitis, pharyngitis (like strep throat), bronchitis (cough, mucus in airways) and otitis (ear).

Once you have an effective antibiotic in your system (and this won't work if you have a viral instead of a bacterial infection), your bugs are weakened even if they're not dead yet, and they are unable to set up housekeeping in others (i.e., you're not contageous).

If you're talking about yourself, yes again, assuming that you are healthy enough not to get hurt on the job or make other mistakes. The Augmentin will not harm your performance. cough medication and fever can impair your judgement, memory and concentration, but not Augmentin.

Augmentin, by the way, is amoxicillin, a variant of ampicillin and penicillin, plus another molecule to overcome resistance to plain amoxicillin (principally) by staph.

Augmentin is an antibiotic and usually produces tolerable side effects so most likely it will not affect your work.

However it can sometimes cause considerable discomforts. Abdominal discomfort mostly, take it in full stomach.

By the way, the reason for taking Augmentin is presence of an infection. The presence of infection could be the cause of your feeling drowsy, dizzy, and sick. See your doctor if your feeling gets worse, you may wish to have a sick leave if applicable.
