No proof of an abduction.

Apart from a missing child, no proof. And the child could have disappeared via another couple of reasons.

And Jane Tanner is not an independent witness.

There are probably three different scenarios - 1) abduction 2) murdered by parents or someone else 3) she wandered off.
I think we can safely discount the wandered off. So we are left with two possibilities. The parents deny murdering her and to date, there is no real evidence to suggest otherwise. 2) There is no body.
The absence of a body suggests that she could be alive, in which case she must have been abducted or sold by the parents. I cannot believe she was sold. I don't want to believe it, anyway.
Unfortunately the scene of the crime wasn't cordoned off and it appears that any evidence was likely to be destroyed in the search of Madeleine or contaminated. Apparently the police decided very early on that the parents were responsible and so they did not concentrate on the abduction theory.
Jane Tanner reports seeing someone with a child wearing pajamas similar to Madeleine's. Who really knows how credible she is. We shall have to wait and see.

I did read in another newspaper that a local saw someone with the child, and his description matches Jane Tanners.

There isn't any "proof" for Madeleine's abduction just as theres none for her murder. But heres what points to why an abduction would be most likely :

1. theres no proof of a murder committed in the room.
2. 'the way the McCanns strive to spread awareness of their Madeleine with no regard to the flak & scrutiny hurled against them.
3. there is no little body found in spite of experts, sniffer dogs & the worldwide pressure on the PJ.
4. there is no motive for murder.
5. there was a man on the beach who kept clicking Madeleine's snap. Thats suspicious, don't you think?
6. the McCanns made a terrible decision of leaving their babies alone - made it easy for an abductor.

It depends whether you believe Jane Tanner's account and the other witness stories recently appearing in the tabloids.

There is a lot of criticism of Jane Tanner, because people have decided she is covering for the McCanns, but who really knows if she is telling the truth about what she saw? The fact that she isn't an independant witness doesn't automatically mean she's lying.

The child the other witnesses saw may or may not have been Madeleine, but it seems to be a common theme that they say their statements haven't been followed up.

The only actual physical evidence I know of that MAY point to the abduction theory, is the DNA sample found in the apartment that still hasn't been matched to anyone, despite 500 locals, friends and employees being tested.

Very tentative, I know, but it's there.

Is there any proof she wasn't??? (only joking) :0)

I have read through lot's of so called evidence of the abduction theory and the parents killing her theory.
There really is no hard evidence to back up either claim right now. I just believe from logical explanations that Madeleine was abducted.
It seems easy for people to accept that the McCanns killed Madeleine but, Not so easy to believe she was abducted.
I just pray she will be found or at least find peace some day.
Wouldn't it be nice to have her found for Christmas??
I think we can all agree on that. :0)

Unfortunately there seems to be no proof of anything in this case. All I can say is the only proof is that there has been one lie after another and I feel we will never know the truth.

There does not appear to be any proof (evidence) of whatever happened, except that the girl is missing.

Yes, there was a footprint found by Forensics in the apartment, cuddle cat was placed away from Madeleine & a witness has said she saw somebody carrying a shoe-less child away from the building.

Surely if the parents had done any harm to little Maddy, they would have slung cuddle cat in with her when they dumped in some road works / buried in the church and or spain / threw out to sea/ sold Madeleine?

*edit. Not forgetting that Murat and Waczulch were seen loitering around the building months before, casing apartment 5A. It appears the abduction of Madeleine has been very carefully planned and has had a dummy run before. Jose Antonio - Cuckold husband of Waczulch carries out Pool Maintenance at the Ocean Club (as a contractor) and will have had easy access to the complex. He is an accessory.
Seperately to this a mother complained that Murat was staring at her 4 year old .
The German birds alibi don't hold water and as an adulterer would not be welcome at ANY jehovahs Witness meetings. She has no alibi for her whereabouts.

No, no proof. Just a missing child.

She is missing, and if you really really think about all that has happened, an abduction is the ONLY feasible theory, unless of course the McCanns have fooled their friends/ family/ the media/ general public/ police/ goverment/ celebs/ private investigators/ SAS etc and staged the most amazingly elaborate cover up in criminal history!
