It is believed that other Gods bless showing their right hand upwords (Ashirvadam) in Abhaya Hastam mudhra, where as Venkateswara's hand is in the posture of giving .
Lord Venkateswara has four hands. In the upper right hand, he holds the Chakra (wheel), meaning the wheel of time.
In the upper left, he has a Sankha (conch), which resembles (OM) signifying the four Vedas.
The right lower hand is directed towards his feet, a sign to the bhaktas to surrender to him in all their troubled times.
The lower left hand rests on the left thigh, telling the devotees that the cycle of births and deaths is just knee deep and he would take care of those who totally surrender to him with intense devotion and forgive their mistakes.-

It is all connected to the thoughts from the Vedas, Puranas, Mahabharatas, and the regional India, each segment representation is palm up or palm down, it is in the mythological personal beliefs of each demigod. There is no reason why a man would use a White hanky and not a yellow one, it is a matter of choice. No significance. Lifestyle adaptation. If a man is sitting below the level of the demi God, then How would he bless him with his palm facing up, it depends where the Bhakt is positioned.
