Is it becoming of a Christian to wear a gold curfix necklace? I just dont think that is in line with being meek and humble to own such jewelry especially with representations of Jesus on them. Or what do you think? I hope my question is clear enough.

First we can use repersintations of Christ since God created Mater and so we can use it for his glory. You might want to read about the 7th eccumincal council on iconography the cross is not an idol. The metal is inmaterial as God made the universe to start with.

hmm... this is probably a hard question to answer but I'll give it a go.
I guess being a christian doesn't mean you have to walk around in rags and look really poor(humble). Humans are always wanting to look good on the outside, so if you weren't wearing a gold crufix necklsace it would be replaced by a diamond necklace. So it dosen't really matter what you wear on the outside but how you act on the inside.

Very true. It does seem way out of line. But, that's my opinion. If you feel closer to god with a gold necklace around your neck. Kudos for all I care. Weather G-d has a problem with it is an entirely different thing.

Well, I don't think anyone looks good with any kind of gaudy jewelry on, regardless of the color, but if that is how someone wants to represent their beliefs, I say go for it. There is nothing wrong with wanting everyone to know your faith just by looking at the bling on your chest! lol...

Its better than a marijuana necklace.......

Becoming a Christian has nothing to do with jewelry. It has to do with you accepting Jesus Christ as your leader to God's kindom on earth and living a peaceful life with all his children. Living in love and harmony with each other and seeing God in every one, That's what becoming a Christian means!

Surely we haven't sunk so low that we now criticize jewelry? Is this the best we can come up with?

Its' not what is worn on the outside it is what is within the heart. So whether or not one wears a gold cross or no cross it doesn't, what matters whether or not their heart is in God.
