I'm going to disregard the $60 of income. If you filed you would only get a dollar or so EIC.

It is possible to collect EIC while getting disability income. It depends on the type of disability income.

One common example of this occurring is when a person is receiving disability income from an employer, and is not of minimum retirement age for that employer. This may be considered earned income. The W-2 you receive will be the indicator for this. If you receive a W-2 showing income in Box 1, then it may be possible for you to receive Earned Income Credit based on this income.

Another example that is common is a person receiving Social Security Disability Income. This is not earned income and will not qualify the recipient for EIC.

Whether or not you can earn additional income while collecting disability depends upon the agency paying the disability. Contact them for guidance.
