im a girl and im almost 5'9! im really self concious about my height, do you think this is too tall? if so is there any possible way to get shorter?

No sweetie be happy with how God created you. Look at it as beautiful and different. You dont want to be 5ft like me, it's so much harder....lol
plus everyone thinks i'm 12 and i'm 25....
if it make you feel better my niece is 12 and she 5'7 or 5'8. U might grow up to be the smartest most beautiful model that walk the runway, not that there's nothing else you can be but your height brings power for a woman and you will realize and get comfortable with yourself eventually... all woman and young girls want to change something about themselves trust me, but just be happy that you wake up everyday because that all that really matter.
Now smile beautiful, its ok to be tall. And forget anyone who doesn't like it! You just have to learn to love it, ok
And you dont have to be thin to model, that girl gave you the worng answer and that is whats wrong with our young girls, skinny dont mean anything, thick girls can be plus size models and still be beautiful and pay for college. I dont care if u are fat or skinny just be happy with yourself

My 17-year old daughter would like nothing better than to be your height, because that would mean she was tall enough to be a high-fashion model. She has topped out at just under 5'8" and that isn't quite tall enough for her. So each person sees things differently. You are tall, and you will have to learn to live with being that tall. Play the game of life with the cards you were dealt -- learn how to make your height work to your advantage. Stand up straight and be proud of it!

haha no I don't think there is anything wrong with being tall, but I was tall at that age. Still am, i'm 25 and 5'11". Its a pain when you are young, especially the whole dating thing. Guys don't always start getting tall for a few more years. Just embrace your height. Oh, and get used to having trouble finding pants that have the right inseem. www.alloy.com has pants that are up to 35". Those are a bit long on me, but I get them hemmed. Sure its a pain, but you get a custom fit, and they look better anyway.

You are not too tall!
You probably tower over most of your friends, including boys, but you will likely slow down while they speed up.
Even if you grow a few more inches you can still be very attractive. You probably want to stay away from high heels and dressing attractively is something you need to consider, but tall girls are definitely attractive. I grew to a height of 6'2" and would have loved to date a girl your height.
Just be yourself. There are plenty of tall guys out there and you can find plenty of dates, even with guys shorter than you (when you are old enough to date.)
It's not too tall.

Hi I'm a 13 year old girl but I am like 5'8 5'81/2. I don't think 5'9 is too tall. I love to wear heels on special ocausions mostly but. yeah don't be self consious i have a friend who's like 6'1. people don't look at her differently they just see her.
When you get older you'll shrink. My grandpa has shronk like 2 or so inches.

come on madam... ppl r dying for height n here u dnt want it.. jus maintain a good figure.. then u wil have a better first impression if u hv a good height.. i dont thing 5'9 is too tall.. and this is the time wer gals achieve thier hieght unlike guys... so u can say u hieght for the coming years would be 5'10.. tats the max.. guys will become taller once they finish their 12th grade...by 17-18 yrs...

it's not possible to get shorter, I'm 5'9 too and I'm 21 I really like it actually. Have u ever thought about modeling? If you are thin enough you could pay for college with it ;)

THERE IS NO WAY TO BE SHORT just avoid wearing heals i am 5'9 too but i am a man and 23 years old i want to become tall

hah im a boy and 15 also 5'9. my sister however is 5'10.she has a hard time dating but really there are taller men out there hun. dont worry about your height.unlike me who wants to me 6'2 or 3 lol.

Ok, I know now you think you are so tall and feel insecure, but in a couple of years you will realize how good that is, for school boyfriends, work etc.
You have the hight of a model and belive me everyone likes a model! :)
