Does God have a sense of humor?

Question

The reason I ask this is because I believe that; if God is real and "created all good things", he/she must've created humor. Therefore, he/she must have a sense of humor right?

So, why is it that joking about him is blasphemy if it's just a joke? What if you don't mean it? Can't he/she take a joke? People joke around with me and I don't get mad. In fact, sometimes it's hilarious. Does he/she have a different sense of humor than I? Does that mean God is not diversified? This cannot be so.

There is error here somewhere. Can someone tell me where? I used to have strong faith but now I'm not so sure. There are certain contradictions like this that should be addressed. I did not intend to offend anyone by this. I am sorry if I have.

There's a thing which exists in this world, it's called "irony". Make friends with it, it's everywhere. If God didn't have a sense of humor he wouldn't have created the bible the way he did.

The bible uses circular logic to create truth; when all is said and done the truth will come forth: "it's not a lie if it does not exist". The jokes on you, buddy. We're all evil, and you've been living in hell these past years. Evil men wrote an evil book, to worship an evil god. All which is "good" is evil.

It's not so bad. It could have been worse, we could be in heaven listening to God's endless boring speeches of existence, one after the other for all eternity. Ever heard black people say, "it's all good". Trust me they know what good is.

God Indeed has a sense of humour. If you read Holy Quran
you will find many humorous sentences, although the book
is extremely serious.

The sinners would be told on the day of reckoning:

"Today your eyes are very sharp!"

For them the destination is hell, which is referred to
as their mother.

Proud and arrogant would be given a mixture of hot water
and blood and the angel handing it would say:

" Drink ! Indeed you are very respectable"

Similarly God has prepared luxurious living for good people.
He has called it only "initial hospitality"

Why we can not make fun of God? Because we are His
slaves and cannot make fun of Him. He is so Kind, Generous and helps us so much, all we should about him is thanksgiving. NOT on a particular day, but throughout our lives
by using the capabilities given by Him for the benefit of
humanity, His dearest and best creature.

Vick, I know God has a sense of humor. He made us and we're all pretty funny some of the time. God, Himself can take a joke, He's not uptight.

I do think though, that God also deserves respect. He created us and gave us life. He gave His only Son to rescue us from our mistakes. That deserves respect, lots of respect!

Maybe you can visit a church where they teach the Bible and rejoice in God's goodness. Until then, don't be afraid to laugh and be respectful both!!!!

Some people can be uptight about their beliefs concerning God. Folks like that you just have to leave them alone and go on.

I've known God for a long time now. He is joyous, happy, glad, full, giving, strong, kind, creative, amazing, and the list goes on and on!

Sometime find a Bible and read the New Testament; you will discover that God is wonderful and loves us so very much.

Yes God has a sense of humor. Check your sources. Who told you it is blasphemy to joke with God. A little laughter is a good thing. God always knows what is really in your heart and what you are thinking, always. If you have any doubts then seek God and seek his enlightenment, he will guide you.

God obviously has a sense of humor. He created the
duckbilledplatapus (sp? my spell check is stuttering.) didn't he?
It's more than that though. Jesus did and said a lot of cool things in response to the religious leaders when they were trying to trap him saying or teaching something blasphemous or contrary to their teaching.

If you know that God is a practical God when you read the scriptures, You will enjoy it more and maybe hear God when he uses them to speak to you.

Maybe what you had was head knowledge.
were you raised in church? That can be a problem and frequently is. Slowly one is lulled into thinking everything is cool because they are going through the motions.

You have to know God for yourself. listening to and doing what others tell you to do and believe will get you lost if you don't make knowing God and Jesus Christ a priority in your daily life.

But before you start all that, you must be borne again. If you're not sure about that (if you are or not) you need to Barry your face in the feet of Jesus and find out who he is and ask him to remind you and forgive you for all the sins you've committed . When you know in your deepest being that he has forgiven you, tell others you have taken the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ and study, study, study the Holy Scriptures with prayer and fasting.

I think God has a great sense of humor, and I also like to believe that God can take a joke just like anyone else. We were created in God's image, so God must have a sense of humor.

And Southpark is just awesome! lmao!

No to mention, "Dogma" is one of the greatest movies ever! (And Ben Affleck was the bomb in "Phantoms", yo!....)

And exactly how do some of you know that God's sense of humor is "clean". I don't know God on that kind of level (as I'm sure no one else on this planet does), but I'm sure He watches "Scrubs" reruns just like everyone else! Probably Southpark, too.

I believe he does.
I'm shore there AR jokes that angers him like race jokes or sexual jokes.you know jokes that hurt people.
And there are jokes that even he would bust a gut if he were human.
Don't forget Theo he is our creator who thought of the joke first.

There is a funny story in the Bible about Moses's sister speaking ill of Moses's wife because she was a cushite (read: black) woman. God cursed Moses's sister by turning her skin white as snow. Imagine something like a piece of computer paper. Pretty white, right? Now picture somone walking down the street with that same skin color. I thought this was pretty funny, but that's just me.
